FAQ: Member portal

Please go to: https://members.bir.org/portal
Fill in your e-mail address and password (this is the e-mail address on which you receive your BIR newsletters) and press the “Log in” button.

Click on “request a new BIR password” (under the “Log in” button)
Fill in your e-mail address and a new password link will be sent to your inbox. With this link you can activate a new password for your account.

First, log in to the members portal.
On the left you see a green colored menu. Click on “Contacts”. Now you see an overview of all your contacts.
Next to the title “Contacts” there is a green “+” button. Click on this “+” to add a new contact to your company.

Select and deselect commodities by clicking on them. When they are green colored, they are selected.
Press “Submit” on the bottom of the page to save your selected commodities.

You can change your details by inserting new data.
Press “Submit” on the bottom of the page to save your new company details.

Here you can download your company certificate. The certificate can be downloaded only when the annual membership dues have been settled.

Yes! When you log into the member portal, you click on “Meetings”. Here you have an overview of all the meetings you are invited to. You can either, accept, deny or wait for answering.

FAQ: BIR membership

The membership is a company membership valid for all company staff. All colleagues can have access to our members-only pages, to all BIR services and can register for our events.

Membership is based on a calendar year and is automatically renewed every year in January.

Art. 6 of the BIR Articles of Association, states that members may resign from BIR after giving six-months’ notice. This notice can be given by email and the member must make sure that BIR acknowledges receipt of the email.

Yes, delegates from a BIR Member Company are welcome to register for our events and pay the BIR member rate.

There is a special “observer” status, which rate is more expensive and which is granted only once for non-member company delegates to discover BIR activities and events before enrolling to BIR.

Yes, as BIR member delegate you (and your colleagues) are entitled to participate in all our events. The convention fee covers the costs of the convention infrastructure (room rental, food, set-up etc.) and must be paid in addition to the membership fee.

No, they vary depending on your company status (Gold/Ordinary), the registration date (early-bird, on-site, etc.), and your age group (young trader: less than 35 years old)

If your company belongs to a corporation, a group of companies and if one of those companies is already member of BIR, then your company can apply as subsidiary.

  • the “primary contact company” membership fee amounts to 2550€ for Gold membership or 2100€ for Ordinary membership* for one calendar year.
AND

  • The “subsidiary company” pays the reduced price and get the same advantages as any regularly affiliated company.

Note that the status (Standard of Gold) of the primary contact company determines the status of the “subsidiary company/ies”.
